Fee Free Football in 2024 for Little League!

Waitemata Football Club is excited to announce an exciting initiative for the 2024 football season.

In a bid to promote the sport of football and encourage young talent in our community, we are delighted to introduce fee-free football for 4-5-year-olds (4th & 5th Grade) as part of the club’s Little League program.

The committee's decision to offer free football for this age group is a testament to our commitment to fostering the love of the game and providing access to football for all. At Waitemata Football Club, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joys of the beautiful game, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Club President, Conan McKinstry, expressed his enthusiasm for this initiative, stating, "Waitemata Football Club has always been deeply rooted in our community. We want to create an inclusive environment where kids can develop their skills, make friends, and build a lifelong love for the sport. By removing fees for our youngest members, we hope to lower barriers and inspire the next generation of football stars."

Director of Football, Dan Johnston, also emphasized the importance of this program, saying, "Football is not just a sport; it's a tool for personal development, teamwork, and health. By offering fee-free football to 4-5-year-olds, we are investing in the future of our community. We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment where kids can learn and grow, both on and off the field."

The fee-free football program for 4-5-year-olds will cover membership registration costs for the 2024 season, including all in house training sessions and game days.

In addition to fee free football for the 4th and 5th grade, the club's 6th grade fees will be significantly reduced to just $50 per player.

This initiative aligns with Waitemata Football Club's core values of inclusivity, community engagement, and youth development.
