Can I Play with My Friends?
Absolutely! At the junior level (9th–12th grade), we make every effort to accommodate player requests to join friends, specific coaches, or preferred teams.
As players progress to Youth Football (grades 13–19), the game evolves with full-sized fields, goals, and 11-a-side matches. Youth squads typically consist of 16–18 players, and there are two types of teams in this category:
Community Youth Teams
Designed for players seeking a more social level of football, Community Youth teams are ideal for those not selected for Championship teams. These teams:
- Play matches on Saturday mornings/afternoons.
- Participate in grading games at the start of the season to ensure placement in a league that provides an appropriate level of competition in a fun, enjoyable environment.
- Typically train once a week, with sessions led by volunteer coaches.
Championship Teams
Championship teams represent the top players for each youth grade. These teams:
- Are coached by NZF-qualified coaches, offering a higher level of training and development (additional fees apply).
- Train twice a week to maintain competitive standards.
- Compete against other clubs' top teams in the NRF leagues on Sundays.
We’re committed to creating an environment that balances skill development, competition, and fun for every player, whether they’re looking for a social or competitive football experience.
